Karsa Showcases Ionization Innovations at EAC 2025 in Lecce

Karsa is attending the European Aerosol Conference 2025 in Lecce, Italy, where we are presenting new developments in High Resolution Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry for aerosol research—and hosting a user get-together to connect with the MION Orbitrap community.

Karsa is proud to participate in EAC 2025, taking place this week in Lecce, Italy. We are contributing to sessions highlighting new technologies and methods for aerosol and gas-phase chemical analysis using chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS), including Uronium reagent chemistry and MION–Orbitrap integration with online particle analysis.

Our Presentations

Tuesday, September 2
Real-Time Chemical Characterization of 10–50 nm Particles with an Online DMA–VIA–MION–Orbitrap Setup
Presenter: Henning Finkenzeller
⏰11:45–12:00 | Session: Measurement Techniques for Chemical AerosolCharacterization
This presentation introduces a real-time setup for characterizing ultrafine particles, using integrated DMA, VIA, MION, and Orbitrap.

Thursday, September 4
Exploring MPCIMS with Uronium: A Promising Solution for Comprehensive Gas Phase Analysis in Aerosol Research
Presenter: H.J. Jost
⏰16:15–16:30 | Session: Novel Aerosol Instrumentation
This talk explores how Uronium-based MPCIMS can expand the range of detectable compounds in aerosol and gas-phase studies.

MION–Orbitrap User Get-Together – Tuesday Evening

We’re inviting MION and Orbitrap users (and future users!) to join us for an informal user get-together on Tuesday night in Lecce.

  • Drinks: 19:00
  • Dinner: 20:00     onwards

It's a great opportunity to exchange insights, hear aboutreal-world applications, and connect with colleagues working with (or curiousabout) MION–Orbitrap workflows.

Please reach out to the Karsa team on-site or via email to confirm your attendance.
